The Australian government provides several incentive policies for overseas film and television filming to attract more overseas film production. Through the long-established, cooperative relationship with the government, Ostar Entertainment can maximise your application for relevant subsidies.

Australia's Film Production Incentive Program includes the following measures:

Post, Digital and Visual Effects (PDV) Offset

The 30% PDV Offset (Post, Digital and Visual Effects) is a refundable tax offset (rebate) for Qualifying PDV Expenditure (QAPE) incurred in relation to post, digital and visual effects work.

The Location Offset

The Location Offset a 16.5% refundable tax offset (rebate) calculated on Qualifying Australian Production Expenditure (QAPE).

The Producer Offset

The Producer Offset provides a refundable tax offset (rebate) for producers of Australian feature films, television and other projects on Qualifying Australian Production Expenditure (QAPE).

Official Co-Production

Official co-productions are a series of official cooperation agreement signed by the Australian government and other governments, providing economic and policy concession for the signing of the joint production of film and television dramas in both countries. At present, Australia has signed treaties with 12 countries including China.

State Incentives & Funding
